EZDRM Opens New Doors for Business Growth with Anevia

EZDRM, the specialist provider of Digital Rights Management as a Service (DRMaaS), today announced the availability of a fully CPIX standards-based integration with the advanced video origin packaging products from Anevia, a leading provider of OTT and IPTV software solutions. As a proof point, Skymedia, one of the main operators in Mongolia, has already selected the integrated EZDRM/Anevia solutions for the secure delivery of its next-generation TV services.

Anevia logoThe completed integration streamlines the DRM workflow and content encryption in Anevia's NEA-LIVE and NEA-DVR Multiscreen TV solutions using the EZDRM Universal DRM service. A robust and scalable reliable DRM solution is a critical element of the business infrastructure for any video service. EZDRM offers a straightforward key management interface, dynamic business rules, and API-driven licensing that empowers customers to expand viewership and create new revenue streams while maintaining full control over valuable video content.

Universal DRM from EZDRM offers a fully managed combination of Google’s Modular Widevine and Microsoft’s PlayReady technologies via Common Encryption (CENC) over DASH. This multi-DRM solution for content delivery allows the usage of custom data allowing business logic to seamlessly integrate into the DRM license issue process. EZDRM also fully supports Apple FairPlay Streaming to protect service delivery to iOS devices and Apple TV.

Anevia’s NEA-LIVE is a multiscreen TV origin packager for live streaming. It enables TV operators to launch broadcast-quality, low-latency, live and time-shifted TV services quickly and securely. Anevia’s NEA-DVR is a Cloud DVR solution that is also used as a playback server, to package content and stream it to the network. Because both comply with CPIX - a standard for the interface between origin packagers and multi-DRM key server – they are compatible with EZDRM’s Universal DRM service, which follows the same standard.

“As the industry increasingly adopts Multiscreen delivery solutions for premium video content, a simple-to-implement DRM cloud service is an important part of the overall architecture,” said Olga Kornienko, COO of EZDRM. “Working with Anevia has been a great experience, and we believe that a whole new range of customers will benefit from the combined secure, scalable service solution.”

Alexandre Arnodin, VP Sales Engineering, says: “Anevia is excited to see that its origin packager products, NEA-LIVE and NEA-DVR, are validated as being fully compatible with EZDRM’s Universal DRM service. This confirms that we both made the right choice in following an industry standard that allows customers to get multi-DRM solutions, opening up new markets, such as Skymedia, for EZDRM and for Anevia.”
